[TTA-Nashville] Feb meeting reminder and hike opportunity

on the Ellington Ag Center campus on Tuesday, Feb 27, at 7:00 PM.

Gary Keckley asked me to pass this information about the annual
backpack he is leading.

March 23-25 (Fri-Sun) FIFTH  Annual Leprechaun Leap Backpack. This
will be a 3 day trek on the Tennessee River Gorge segment of the
Cumberland Trail near Chattanooga.  The trail has several spectacular
overlooks into the "Grand Canyon of the Tennessee"  plus we will see
several natural rock formations that compete with Rock City.  The
trail is reasonably level and the distances are moderate.  On Saturday
night, we will have the First "Lep Leap Culinary Cookoff" to establish
the World's Best Backcountry Chef.   We will camp both nights at the
Poplar Spring Campsite and day hike to Snoopers Rock on Saturday.  The
Lep Leap aims to serve, so there are several options-

Option A: Herb Kneeland  Special- all three days, 10 miles on Friday,
12 slackpacking miles on Saturday and 10 on Sunday.

Option B: Herb Kneeland Wanna B Special- come whenever and hike 3.3
miles to the campsite for either night or day hike 6 miles on
Saturday.

The group size is limited, so you must pre-register.   For
