Hello, everyone, this is your gentle reminder that tomorrow evening is our April program meeting for the Nashville TTA chapter.
Our program presenter will be Lou Ann Partington. You may recognize her name - she edits the statewide TTA newsletter. Her day job, and her personal professional commitment, is wildlife rehabilitation, and she is travelling from Tullahoma to tell us about her work. She works with many different animals, and their needs are as diverse as their species. Lou Ann has a "wish list" of items that are always needed to care for her charges, and I hope you can bring an item to donate for Lou Ann to use in her work. Here's the list:
Paper towels
Kleenex (or any other kind of facial tissue - just as long as it's the plain old stuff, and not the kind with lotion or perfumes)
Apples
Potatoes
Gift cards to grocery stores or Wal-Mart (so that I can purchase the perishable supplies as they are needed)
Finch Seed
Sunflower Seed
Nyjer Seed
Bungee Cords
Just in case you haven't been to a meeting in a while, we gather at 7 p.m. at REI in Brentwood (for on-line mapping purposes or to plug in your navigator, that's 261 Franklin Road, Brentwood, TN 37027). The store has a great community room at the far side of the store from the entrance. Following a brief business meeting and announcements, we'll get the low-down from Lou Ann about wildlife rehabilitation; and we hope you'll linger for refreshments and time to socialize afterward. See you then!
Cheers,
Nora Beck
