In addition to all the hikes in the November newsletter, we've gotten word about
a couple of events that didn't make the deadline. So, here they
are - one next Saturday, Nov. 8, and one on Saturday, Nov.

Fall Cruise on <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns =

w:st="on"><st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">Hill</st1:PlaceType> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">Lake</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>. This is an annual fundraising event
by the Friends of Edgar Evins State Park, and space is limited (it sells out
each year and I think the space is limited to 30 people). People that have
pre-registered will meet at 1:00pm at the <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">Marina</st1:place></st1:City> at EESP. Pre-registration is due ASAP to

Costs are $10 per adult, and $5 per child 12 years and under.</SPAN></FONT><FONT

multi-chapter event: Nature Hike and Light Trail Work. The group will meet at
9:00a at the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Edgar</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Evins</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">State
Park</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> visitor’s center. The hike is approx 4-5 miles,
rated easy to moderate. The trail work is easy/light. The hike will be led by
Randy Hedgepath (which is guaranteed to be extremely interesting and
educational). Depending on the pre-registration numbers Edgar Evins SP may serve
lunch (FREE!). However, to do this, they will need a headcount. PLEASE
