We have received word that the date of the meeting described below has 
been changed to next Wednesday, 3/12/2008, at the same time and place. 
The delay is to make changes which will strengthen the provisions of the 
bill, according to one of the sponsors.

URGENT ATTENTION.

There will be a meeting of the House Committee on Environment &
Conservation dealing with HB2764, which will expand the list of minerals
regulated pursuant to the Mineral Surface Mining Law of 1972.

This action is a step towards protecting the Cumberland Trail from rock
harvesting activities.

The committee meeting is open to the public and will be held at 8:30 am
on Wednesday, 3/5/2008, in Room 29 of the Legislative Plaza in Nashville.
