[Tennessee Trails News] Legislation to allow use of Savage Gulf and Fall Creek Falls hiking trails by horseback riders.

HB 1308 was deferred until the last committee meeting on the calendar. I 
did speak in opposition to the bill, but no action was taken at this 
time. Chairman Gilmore was very interested in hearing what I had to say, 
and I provided every member with about 4 pages of research about the 
damage done to trails by horses, bikes, and boots. Horses do at least 4 
times the damage BTW.

Pass this along. I encourage members of the TTA to come out next time. 
The only other person there to speak about it was a ranger from South 
Cumberland. He is also opposed to it.
